Gypsy Restaurant

Objective:
To create a restaurant based on the book “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.” The design needs to be fantastical as well as functional.

Process:
Using a Roberto Cavalli ad as inspiration, I based my design on a natural theme. The enclosed booths in the restaurant are made of Copper as well as the large feature planters. The flooring is wood with aquariums in it. Soft billowing fabrics cover the ceilings and drape down the walls, a floating metal and glass staircase greets customers as they enter the restaurant finally, unique lighting features complete the fantastical look and feel.

Images Shown:
The floor plan of the store showing the seating arrangements as well as the planter and aquarium placement. Two interior Perspectives that show the copper booths, as well as the copper planters in more detail. The elevations show the aquairum in the walls as well the fabric draped down the columns and walls, and again the copper booths.
